The Andalusian technological firm, under its Wellness Smart Cities & Solutions brand, with which it operates in projects for smart cities, has signed the Channel Partner agreement with the worldwide provider of connectivity for the Internet of Things and is next to obtain the label Sigfox Ready for its devices.
The revolutionary IoT network from Sigfox is specifically designed to communicate devices with very little information, which greatly increases the battery life and the life of connected devices.
Wellness Telecom is adapting its Smart City solutions for public lighting, Welight, and waste collection, Quamtra, to Sigfox, the world’s leading provider of Internet Connectivity for Things. The combination of the Sigfox network and the functionalities of these solutions will allow the deployment of Smart City projects based on this low cost network, under the premises of scalability and energy efficiency.
Sigfox is the world’s leading provider of dedicated cellular connectivity for Internet of Things and machine-to-machine communications. The company’s network complements existing high-bandwidth systems by providing economical, energy-efficient two-way transmission of small quantities of data over long distances, thus lowering barriers to wide implementation of IoT and M2M solutions, and greatly extending the battery and service life of connected devices. Sigfox, currently deployed in ten countries, today covers 1 million square kilometres with a population of 165 million people. Five million devices already are registered in the network. Corporate headquarters are in France, and the company has offices in París, Boston, San Francisco, Madrid, Munich, Dubái y Singapur.
